Let's face it. The scorekeeper usually gets the lineup from the coaches and opposing team as the game is getting started. Here are a few tips to help you get started quickly and keep the stats accurate.
Try to select the correct # of team roster players before the game starts. This will create placeholder players that you can score plays against. Their names and numbers can be added later as the game progresses.
Lineups can be modified after the game has started. Enter as much of the team roster and lineup as you can before the game starts and hit OK. You can fill in the rest as the game progresses.
Prioritize scoring the pitches and plays. Fill in the player numbers and names between batters and between innings. Names are optional so focus on the numbers first if time is limited.
Tapping HOME plate will bring up the lineup for the team batting. You can fill in the player info as they are batting if you like.
